Chaperones from PT's BSU and College Counseling took seven BSU students to visit Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio on Saturday, November 9 for its college preview day.
CSU offered a robust program that welcomed about 1500 students from Ohio and Indiana. CSU's President, Morakinyo Kuti, Ph.D., welcomed the students and there were remarks and presentations from groups including academic colleges, the honors college, student life, financial aid and scholarships, residence life, and also performances from the CSU cheerleaders, the Invincible Marching Marauders, the Grammy-nominated CSU Chorus, and strolling by members of the Divine 9. Students also attended a football game where the CSU Marauders played their rival Kentucky State University, also an HBCU, in which the half time performances were outstanding. Our students enjoyed the opportunity to learn about CSU and also be immersed in the HBCU college experience for the day.
